The Diversity in that classical quartet at the Inauguration

Posted over 3 years ago

The quartet that performed before the swearing-in of Barack Obama was quite diverse in composition, no doubt by design. Performing were Itzhak Perlman, Anthony McGill, Gabriela Montero, and Yo-Yo Ma. A Caucasian, an African-American, a Hispanic, and an Asian, one a woman, and one has a disability. Great diversity in the fine performance of a piece by classical conductor and award winning movie score composer John Williams. An inaugural note from the Rat Pack Tribute.
