So due to a lack of internet access i couldn't post this yesterday...i guess its hard even now for me to write about this. Yesterday it really struck me how hard it still is for me to get through that day. I can't even begin to imagine what it must be like for the people who were effected directly. Every single year I make a point of listening to a few songs, watching a few videos, etc. over the course of the day. I guess it just feels better to let emotions wash over me.

One particular song has been on repeat for me for the past 36 hours. I can't stop listening to it. It's quite possibly the most heartbreaking song I've ever heard. Just read these lyrics and you might get what I'm saying...

I don't think there has ever been an opening verse that has drawn me in that much. At first I didn't really understand what it meant. I thought it was just your average break-up song about a relationship gone bad. I didn't realize how incredibly sad it really was, how much more it meant. In a way, it's such a simple story, but I think it would be almost impossible for anyone who remembers that to not be moved by this song. Download it, close your eyes, listen, and think.
