I have been meaning to post about these guys ever since catching them at "Coachella":http://coachella.com . I was there to see rage, but I gotta say that the Chilli Peppers were the best show that I saw while in Indio. They played a killer set that featured old, new and FUNKY! Love'em or hate'em, they have been around sine '83 and they rock as hard now as ever (some of their newer albums seem a bit lighter, but they get down and dirty in concert). Here is 'Can't Stop' from Slane Castle, recorded on August 23,2003I think I was most impressed by their devotion to their music live. I saw them in '98, but I don't remember being as impressed. If you get a chance, go see this band. A highlight of recent times.

Frusciante was the one that really surprised me...I can't believe how hot his guitar playing has gotten. Shew-ey. I definitely will be shelling out the cash to see these guys if/when they make it back this way.
