WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Gettin' Deep

Somebody's just posted some new videos from Gov't Mule's The Deepest End: Live in Concert. This one features the Dirty Dozen Brass Band with guests Paul Jackson (who performed on the original recording with Herbie Hancock) and Bernie Worrell. For the audio, I've tagged John the Revelator, which also features the Dirty Dozen Brass Band. This entire show was an amazing concert. They started somewhere around 10:00 PM, and didn't finish until nearly 4:00 AM. Guest bassists for the show include George Porter Jr, Victor Wooten, Jason Newsted and Les Claypool. Other musical guests include Sonny Landreth, Bela Fleck and Carl Denson. The whole show finishes up with an awesome rendition of Thorazine Shuffle featuring George Porter Jr, Dave Schools and Jason Newsted all playing bass. The package you can buy in stores includes two CD's and DVD which covers nearly the entire concert. Great stuff all around.

  1. RSchaut says So, mog won't let me tag the live version of John the Revelator. Oh, the vagaries of the Mog. Resistance is futile. You will be... Wait. Wrong show. Sorry.
