In This RiverI've been around this worldYet I see no endAll shall fade to black again and againThis storm that's broken meMy only friendIn this river all shall fade to blackIn ths river ain't no coming backIn this river all shall fade to blackAin't no coming backWithdrawn I step awayJust to find myselfThe door is closed againThe only one leftThis storm that's broken meMy only friend

  6. extraordinarypoems says Nice. Staying on the river theme, have you listened to "The River Knows Your Name," by John Hiatt. I've been on a Hiatt kick. Oh the river knows your name And your tears falling like the rain All around you suffering and pain Oh the river knows your name And the river hears you cry As the lightning cracks the open sky As your Momma sings a lullaby Oh the river she knows why Let the river wash you down Beneath the surface with a rushing sound Like a freight train passing through a town Let the river wash you down Let the river take away All the words you and I could never say In the silence Darling let us pray Let the river take it all away Oh the river she knows your name From the Brazos to the Wabash to the Seine No two journeys are ever quite the same But the river knows your name Oh the river knows your name More songs about rivers, dear Moggers? p.s. Actually, Pimpest, I was secretly hoping you'd be my Wizard of Mog. "... if I only had a brain." p.s. Have you seen the musical Wizard of Oz performance featuring Jackson Browne as the scarecrow, Jewel as Dorothy, Natalie Cole and the good witch, etc? Fabulous --- sweeet. JB was perfect. Oh, and the Harlem Boys Choir were the Munchkins, Debra Winger was the Wicked Witch (looking fabulous, might I add --- the Wicked Witch has great boobs, apparently) --- and let's see, what's the guy's name, Roger something. Does it start with a "D"? Was he in U-2? Oh, maybe you know who I mean. He's very famous. And I can't remember the guy who plays the cowardly lion, but he was hilarious. This was filmed several years back.

  7. extraordinarypoems says Just listened to "In This River" again --- feeling all sentimental. That's a good thing. Thanks for the song, the photos, the video. Now I'm going out for an ice cream or something before my night class. So, catch you later.
