Jim CroceJim CroceTime In a BottleWritten by - Jim CroceHit #1 - 12/73 If I could save time in a bottle The first thing that I'd like to do Is to save every day Til' eternity passes away Just to spend them with you If I could make days last forever If words could make wishes come true I'd save every day like a treasure and then Again, I would spend them with you Chorus: But there never seems to be enough time To do the things you want to do Once you find them I've looked around enough to know That you're the one I want to go Through time with If I had a box just for wishes And dreams that had never come true The box would be empty Except for the memory Of how they were answered by you Chorus

  3. dead mike says i can recall when Jim Croce got killed in the plane crash. I was maybe 11 at the time and thought he was the coolest songwriter / singer and even at that age I really lamented over never hearing new songs from him... it is so wonderful that he left such a beautiful legacy in the worx he did create. here's to Jim.

  6. carmensandiego says I've always liked this song. My mother used to work with a guy who was one of Jim Croce's cousins. Once, at her office, I found him and grilled him on all things Croce. It was for nothing, though, because apparently they were only second cousins and didn't know each other that well. Why do all the good ones die young?

  8. extraordinarypoems says Jim Croce has a piece of my heart with him in heaven. God bless him for eternity. Operator, would you help me place this call? See the number on the matchbook is old and faded. There's something in my eyes, you know it happens every time I think about the love that I thought would save me.

The words to Time in a Bottle are just as true today as they were the first time I heard them in the 70s.

Its so important to live eveyday like it might be your last. To let the people you love know you love them in everyway you can.  Spread Aloha to everyone and you will get it in return
