dead mike says i can recall when Jim Croce got killed in the plane crash. I was maybe 11 at the time and thought he was the coolest songwriter / singer and even at that age I really lamented over never hearing new songs from him... it is so wonderful that he left such a beautiful legacy in the worx he did create. here's to Jim.

carmensandiego says I've always liked this song. My mother used to work with a guy who was one of Jim Croce's cousins. Once, at her office, I found him and grilled him on all things Croce. It was for nothing, though, because apparently they were only second cousins and didn't know each other that well. Why do all the good ones die young?
