It will only get infinitely worse. But maybe you think we started this. War is an ugly thing. But a necessary thing, sometimes. Ask The black People if the civil war was worth it. Ask the French if WW2 was worth it. But don't ask the Viet Namese if standing with America is a good Idea, they'll tell you, as osama will tell you. Like Saddam USED to say "America hasn't got the guts anymore". The sooner we realize that Isalm is NOT a religion of peace, the clearer we will see the struggle we're in. We fight them there, or we fight them here. I don't want to hunker down and wait for another attack. Do You?

I work ever single day with a number of republicans and when I ask, why do you support this war, the answer is always the same. I support our president, no matter what. A soldier was interviewed and when asked if he supported Bush, his answer was, " I wouldn't vote for him but I'd take a bullet for him." In my opinion, it is not only Bush but the entire government. Somewhere along the way, our leaders have lost sight of what their actual jobs are, to lead this country. "We owed them our loyalty, they owed us sound judgment" said Webb. So if you are not fighting for your country or waiting for a loved one to come home from fighting, where does that leave you? To wait and watch all that is unraveling. Compared to all other countries, we have had a long period of peace here. Whether we like it or not, this will eventually be on our doorstep. These visions of horror and sadness will be a mere peering out of the window away. The question in my mind isn't if this war will be fought here but how long until this war is fought here. The saddest part of it all is, I see no solution and if you listen to all of the conversations about this, be it on tv or in person, no one else seems to either.

Now it has been twisted into something else entirely... I respect the men and women who are fighting, my only problem is That they are fighting for a man who never know all of their names. Even in death. This is why I respect the senator in my state so much. He was in Vietnam and his son was in Iraq. When he campaigned, he wore his son's combat boots the entire time. This is a man bred for war and yet, he questions why and what we are doing there. Too many have died in the name of God. I wonder, what does he think of all of this??

Regardless of who's country you belong to WE ARE ALL HUMAN BEINGS & LIFE IS LIFE When I was in high school during my Senoir year there was an army Recruiter who just got back from Iran & was telling my class how he killed an opposite sided troop. He said he ran over him with their Hummer and when he looked back the man looked like a meatball because he was disfigured from the run over. The other students laughed with the Recruiter and I just remember feeling really sad and thinking, hey! he's Human just like us, same flesh & same bones, feelings and everything. Not that I support people who cause terror to others at all! I feel distraught about this war and wish it was just a dream. I don't have much words to say, we all know how evil war is, but with the nation were fighting against being so fixed on suicide & death & disregard for precious life .. eh... I say let them go on their little island & fight & leave all the other innocent lives alone!!!! Civilains are ALWAYS the ones who will suffer most!

Anyone will tell you, our invasion has given the terrorist cause everything it ever wanted. No WMD's, no connection to Al Quaeda, and considerable lying on the record in both areas by the Bush administration. We had our hands full with an understandable conflict in Afghanistan, but Bush pushed to get us into Iraq. He definitely started this. Now, who is to blame? Us. We voted him back into office; he got the stamp of approval from the American people, so, we are all responsible for this shit. We goddam need to be defeated if we don't get our shit together and get out. On the other hand, what is the point? The entire western hemisphere fell to the unstoppable Communist tidal wave unleashed by the domino effect when we pulled out of Vietnam thirty years ago because we were so gutless over there.

The UN, in it's usual limp-dick way, passed 16 resolutions demanding that Iraq do as it was supposed to. Saddam refused. The UN pouted. Bush NEVER said that Saddam was an emanate threat. Hillary said it, Kerry Said it, Kennedy said it, but George Bush never even hinted that he was. Every speech he made in the run-up to the invasion is archived, look it up. He said REPEATEDLY that by the time Saddam WAS an emanate threat, it would be too late. Then there was eighteen months between the announced invasion and the invasion itself. During that time we were provided with satalite images by France, Germany, Great Britain and others showing huge convoys of trailer trucks pulling up to various suspected facilities and the headin' out to Syria, Lebenon, and Egypt. Then when we find no WMDs idiots scream "Bush Lied". Its what they choose to believe, I guess, but me? I give the benefit of the doubt to our guys. Its ironic that all the terrorist leaders, Except Osama, are telling their followers that Iraq represents the central conflict with the west. Meanwhile, here at home the fools are bleeting that Iraq is a distraction from the war on terror. Doesn't it alarm anyone that the goals of the democrat party are EXACTLY the same as our enemies? The Dems want to pull the troops home, repeal the patriot act, and leave the middle east to "these people who've been fighting forever". "they cannot operate a democracy". How racist can we get? Our enemies want us out so they can subjugate the whole area and then subjugate the whole world when they've gained enough stregth. Meanwhile, all over the west people are electing conservative governments (Canada, Germany, Even France!). Citizens all over the world recognize the growing danger and are siding with our philosophy Carl Sandberg said a liberal is someone so open minded they won't take their own side in a fight. I'm not American, but our own conservative leader is one of the few in the western world to support Bush and his 'war on terror' with troops. (He is sometimes called Bush's lapdog over here). I was opposed to this war (built on false pretences as it is) in the first place, and these images only confirm my feelings for what we have done to these people. We have liberated them from a tyrant, only to replace him with an even worse horror. And now we have provided a breeding and training ground for terrorists for years to come.

Do you really think driving around Iraq shooting at anything that moves is going to keep nutjobs from committing terrorst acts from time to time, or, in your vision of Islamic world domination, are you afraid they will move over here elect Osama Bin Laden mayor of Cleveland? Sure, it's a great way to exclaim you're mad as hell and you don't wanna take it anymore... but when it comes to real debate, obscenity-laced talk will get one nowhere. Anyway, it's true that war sometimes is a necessity in this world. Anyone who wants to go to war isn't thinking in any sort of humane way. Don't think for a second Bush or Cheney wanted to go to war. If anyone cares to remember, they gave Hussein a chance to surrender. Did he? No. For years and years Hussein essentially spat in the world's face. He made deals with numerous nations to keep duck under the UN sanctions against his nation. The sanctions could very easily have been lifted if he wanted to be a sane, normal, non-genocidal leader. Instead he chose dictator. The world was guilty for allowing him to remain in power just as the world is guilty today of allowing certain other dictators to remain in power. Finally we got rid of Hussein. Finally that was done. Now we're stuck in a mess that has no real solution to fix. When you eliminate a dozen insurgents there seems to be a two dozen more lurking or being turned to the dark side. Sounds kind of Star Wars-ish there but in a region so decimated, some people don't have anywhere positive to turn. They turn to the side that HATES everything that goes against extremist Islamic way of thinking. What if we left Iraq like many want us to. For a few years people've wanted us to simply pack up our tents and bullets and men and women and come home, leave Iraq, stay here. Iraq would fall into a Darfur, Rwanda, Kosovo-type of genocide not to mention Iran would take over and the size of their nation would increase. Iraq would become an opening training ground for al Qaida exactly like Afghanistan was before 9/11. Mass amounts of fighters would become equipped to carry out terrorist missions anywhere across the globe including in the United States. But maybe that's okay so long as no American soldier is being killed overseas? We shouldn't have American soldiers dying overseas unless they strike here first! Is that the way to think? Allow the terrorist attacks to happen here first? No way. But wait one moment, yet again. Weren't the "attacks" on the World Trade Center partially orchestrated by President Bush? Doesn't that means we don't even have enemies within extreme Islam? There probably isn't a single "al Qaida" person out there who wants to harm us!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY, WE CAN ALL SIT BACK AND FOCUS SOLELY ON HEALTHCARE!!!!!!!! No. There's a war to be fought so American doesn't have to think about erecting National Memorial after National Memorial dedicated to the thousands upon thousands of deaths who could die from terrorist attacks. Honest to God, and He is up there, if while I'm typing this a nuclear device was detonated in America by Islamnic extremists -- i wouldn't be surprised. There's the force of evil in the world and there's the force of good. Where do you think George Lucas got his central theme idea from? Evil sometimes wins and people die. But good also wins. Good is trying to win in Iraq but it's a sick mess and the same on a smaller level is true with Afghanistan. There's an enemy out there. Bush wants prosperity and democracy for these places while extremists think it's okay to have townsquare beheadings for women for holding hands with a man in public. They want to rule the earth, from corner to corner, from end to end, and they're not going to stop. Perhaps this is all stoopid talking 'cause we should be protesting WWII, i mean, afterall, innocent civilians died in that war and Hitler never even attacked us, right?

Well, the French think that they have been attacked in 1939, while at the time President Roosevelt still sticked to his quarantine address ; the French perfectly remember that the US declared war to Japan (and his allies Germany and Italy) only after Pearl Harbor was attacked on the 7th of December 1941, that is, two years after the war was declared between France and Germany, while Poland, the Czech Republic, Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, France, had already capitulated and only the UK was still waging war against Germany (and heroically resisting a blitzkrieg) ; the French also vividly remember that, in 1991, the French army was about to enter Bagdad - there was a coalition against Iraq because Iraq had invaded an independant state, Kuwait, remember ? - when President Bush senior asked them to stop - thus ended the war effort against Iraq. Why, beats me. But US soliders would not be dying now, and an anti-US feeling would not be building in this part of the world, if we (we meaning all democracies) had ended the job back in 1991 when it was legitimate to defeat Saddam Hussein. The French have always said there was no massive destruction weapons in Iraq and they have been proved right. This is why the French declined to be part of a international force that had no real legitimacy. Please Deadmandeadman, stop talking about historical facts you know nothing about, you are only making a fool of yourself.

The problem with looking at the world in a "good vs. evil" Star Wars type paradigm is that, when you are least expecting it, you turn out to be the Empire. Remember My Lai? The cross was the Roman form of capital punishment at the time. It was feared not praised, I spoke to friend not to long ago about the Jewish & Christian diffrences. No matter who gets elected, the American presence in Iraq will be measured in years, not months. From one who served through the enlisted to officer ranks, then lived there working side-by-side as a civilian in Arabia and the region daily with no other Americans about me, and have a residence in Europe, anyone who does not like what we are doing is either a coward or utter fool. If you think those pictures of violence we caused the Iarqi people are soemthing, you should see the daily horrors and torturethey inflict on each other esp. women and children. I respect their faith and values ( and know the Koran, Quran inside and out), but I was befriended there not becuase I embraced their religion or converted as some of the bros did (thinking it was cool to change names or go back to their native religion which Islam is not), but because I was an American.

    Without our values there would be no musicians running about or blogs like this. When they come to get you, they get your family as well. At these are the civlized governments in the region.

    We are in a religious fight as being the largest Christian nation and the only one with enough guts to stand up and say no more, we have made ourselves a target for their determination to bring on the Mahdi through the ultimate and total war. Death is not to be feared but a release from their miserable existence under their leaders and Islam.

    When you protest and sing down with our policies they see this on their illegal satellite TVs embolding them as we seem to be collapsing. TGhe media is off-base, and the public are no longer real Amercians but a bunch of self-gratification seeking brats that have given nothing to this country but a hard time and a hand out stretched for socialism - Obama will be the great divier not uniter of us all.

    So when we go, so goes the world as no one has the moral courgae as we once had. Now for you freaks that think we should not be over there, let me bring them back here and pit even the smallest against you - hyou are nothing compared to the dedication, religious conviction and intelligence of these terrorist. Most have college degrees, and less than 13% did not complete high school - match that against our own weak and corrupt youth.

    In short, fight them there or hewre, it makes no difference, as you will fight them like it or not. Now for those of you who saw Obama as the savior, think again. When your butt is drafted and put on the line as they see him as an ally not a leader, you will get the result of your idiotic vote.

    Time to be great and Americans again, but I fear we are headed for a cultural civil war - time to take out the trash both Democrats and Republicans. Being an American should be a duthy likened to Rome - no serve, no vote. And like Rome our politics are taking us to the end of a rather short civilization and way of life.

    I like respecting the other point of view, but sworn to defend the Constitution and the Republic, the general public is of minor consequence. When people no longer deserve this nation, it is time to revolt against this "We Are The World" and globalistic mentality before we have no nation or free-thinking middle class. Doers built this country, not dreamers. If the immigrants want to come here and work hard, let them. We need a serious transfusion.

    There are no Irish Armericans, no Italian Americans, no Afro-Americans - just Americans. If you don't like it - get out and let's see where you can survive in a world that I have among there peoples aisde from fighting their radicals. The fags, freaks, fair-weather-patriots, and fairies must go..the atheists need to find somewhere else, and those who refuse to serve or pledge of allegiance need to sent else where. Either you are on the team, or get out now.

    Obama may not see the end of his term due to his own party, but the larger threat are the power brokers who put him there. He is not his own man but part of a larger leftists movement that is contrary to this nation's moral and constutional fiber. You cannot claim to supprt Obama and the trrops in the same breathe. We have a "mercenary army" because the bulk of you are either lazy, ego-centric or just plain afraid. The fight was on during Clinton's administration. He pissed away everything that Reagan secured for world peace. Now we are about to fight not only the religious zealots abraod and some of our own, but each other. This nation divided needs a decision point of whether we remain Americans or become what our founding fathers despised, hated, and fought against.

    The time for words is soon coming to an end - pick a side and stand for what you believe in as this is the time where you are an American or something other than. I know of no other country who would have done what we have in less than 300 years - sacrifice for a nation and the world. And since we no longer have a mandatory duty to this nation we have become a country of slackers, greed and pleasure seekers and the acid which is eating away at what America was really about.

    You put the clowns back into office that are responsible for this mess - and they were not all republicans...do some home work and not mouth work. Both parties have failed us, but have failed ourselves by electing them without checking their background or recalling them for due process as criminals or just plain traitors.

    In closing, I have another place safe from this one here about to collapse under devisive policies and poor citizenship. Reality TV has replaced real leadership values. People seeking a false prophet are mere fools as they probably do not control their own lives let alone others. Oabam offers nothing to real Americans but more federal contro, contrary to our moral, ethical and economic foundations.

    The the time to riot and fight is coming...what side will you stand with as there will be no innocents. Picking no side will put you on this neo-socialists, Islamic sympathesizer who has violated federal law by legally blocking access to his personal and academic records (I had to do so and still do working for the government directly or by proxy - why is he expending large amounts of monies to do so?)

    But try this one from the Book of the Cows that there are 3 stratas of people in this world. One self-governing, another needing guidance, and the larger remainder needing strict control...sounds like we have a problem between east and west in terms of personal freedoms.

    My advice to you is too keep banging out our arts esp. music..it drives them crazy as it is deemed demonic. But their younger generations under our hand our questioning their own religion and leaders due to it. I saw that an Iraqi rock band came here to play - now that is real progress that you can say is a start.

    I used to be a musician, but turned to the dark side of engineering and science. But I value what Americans bring to the world - questioning of eveything. And that is uniquely American. Keep it up !!!
