so why do i have like 11 digital lp's of them?
i dunno it must have to do with Matt sending me his 750 gig hard drive (from that OTHER site) back in 07 when there was the big PIMP 'puter crash in October
or was it 06?

NOW all i do is listen to the music

Their first couple of albums are not bad, though I haven't listened to them in quite a while. However, "The Mayor of Simpleton" from Oranges and Lemons gets an A+ from me. Check it out in a post by annieander from 10/18/07 (or, as MOG puts it, "Posted about 1 year ago").
she is whom turned me on to that that i did not know
i will dig deeper for sure
I thought you said you did not like them?? Your senses are certainly getting time-and-a-half. Make sure you dig close on "Making Plans For Nigel", "Towers of London" and , of course "Dear God"
I AM TRYING OK?
yah man. I got it, I get it, here's some later period experimentation of theirs once ya work up the sealegs

Mmm, sunny pop music by a guy with stage fright. Seems right up yr alley. ;)
Something about them rings shopping, & restaurant background music to me. Not something I care to have in my music library, not bad just pseudo bland...of course that's just me.

right ray
that is how i feel
did you guys just invent a new genre? mall rock??
I love XTC, once you get past the early punkish stuff and into the more baroque pop stuff. I bought their first CD and hated it so much I have hesitated to find out exactly where I would draw the line between good and bad.
scotfree: We made the genre, you gave it the name. I like that, mall rock...
Pimpster: I think that all of their stuff from Black Sea and English Settlement on would be considered some of my most cherished music. But, as I often say around here, your mileage may vary.
