LOS ANGELES - Former Guns N' Roses drummer Steven Adler has been arrested in Hollywood for alleged drug possession.
Los Angeles police spokesman Richard French says the 43-year-old Adler was arrested around 4 a.m. Friday by officers called to a home where a man reportedly was creating a disturbance and refusing to leave.
Adler was booked for investigation of possessing narcotics, being under the influence and for an outstanding warrant.
He was jailed on $45,000 bail.
Adler has a long history of drug use. He performed on the early Guns N' Roses albums but was later fired.
Re-leased June 2004, this is a band that I thought would never re-lease an album of cover songs. Guess I was wrong.

Seems like everyone is talking about the new Batman flick & Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker. I haven't seen it yet, but plan to this week. I was browsing around Youtube and found this little gem that U2 did for the Batman Forever Soundtrack...

I wonder if he could still function long enough for a tour if GNR ever did reunite. He could hardly do it in '91.
I heard on a "Behind The Music" sort of show, that he had a drug related stroke a while back and was largely unable to perform, although he admitted to playing along with the old GnR records.
I would find it hard to carry on a normal life after seeing the success G n R had in the early days. To go from having everything, to just being another average joe would be hard. Throw in the drug use and you have a bomb waiting to go off
