I guess I'm dating myself, but I read it when it came out, and thought "This is the most annoying book ever." In case you haven't read it, I won't spoil it entirely, but safe to say he goes on for PAGES about what every character in the room is wearing for each particular scene, what their business cards look like, what their briefcases are made of, what they order at the restaurant. You get the idea.
But then you realize that he's making a point about the emptiness and banality of the 1980s uber-yuppie class, and you start rolling with it, and then the violence starts. Really an awesome book.

One of my favourite books. Bateman's description of a U2 concert skewers them perfectly.

Haven't read the book (I guess I should, Jonh?), but it's one of my favourite movies. And Bale is GLORIOUS in it.
My Trusted MOGs
Anna, it's one of the funniest books I've read. And most violent. The film does a good job of visualising it.And Bale is fabulous.

I'm gonna grab it from the library ASAP!!!
