I've read some complaints online that the music is slower than their previous releases. But I think it's a great rock album, and the first two tunes (which are on this post) are really good IMHO.

I've seen vids off the first two, but still have check those two out. Dig what I've heard so far...
my first impression of it wasn't great....but sometimes this kinda music needs a few listens to infect you

There music & vids make me miss living in L.A. . They have a sound that reminds of Hollywood.

leftoverking: Yea he's not bad at all, I like his style of playing. I read on the wiki Josh Homme describing the drums as having a stripper style drum beat.

Anna: Sorry you didn't like it, I can see why you don't comparing the old stuff to this. The old stuff had a 90's sound to it, some of it reminded me of Nirvana, like the "Speaking in Tongues." Other stuff sounds like QOTSA, in fact it was stuff I've heard before and thought it was QOTSA. I don't think it's that bad, but I haven't really been following them.
