Saw an interview with Rob Zombie somewhere saying he wanted to put closer to this story & Justice bestowed upon the characters. I also think he was trying to bring back that feeling that you got from movies like the original Halloween & The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre when you first saw them. But again not for the faint of heart...
