Train of Thought is considered their heaviest & my favorite release to date. It was a response to audience's response to their heavier side while touring. The album was completed in three weeks. I have to thank Tyler for his "Happy Thursday Metal Binges."

No prob -> thanks for your contribution! bad-arse toonage going on today! haven't heard much of these guys, but the few songs I've heard I dig, so guess what I'm doing at work tomorrow? yup, downloading Dream theater. Thanks Ray ->
good one Ray i have everything this band has done
AND MORE
AND
their boots where they play pink floyd's dark side of the moon & metallica's "master of puppets in entirety
i am partial to images n words...this is in my tops tho....
Hmmm... musically it's okay. I've never really liked Dream Theater, I'm not sure if it's the vocals or what. They played a show (a long time ago) with Galactic Cowboys and I think I left after a couple of songs into their (Dream Theater) set.
I've heard lots of people rave about them... it just don't do much for me. In all honesty, I'd rather listen to Kekal.
TylerDurden : All their stuff is great, they remind me of a more melodic "Fates Warning." This is another great one from them.
ROCKNROLLPIMP: I got most of their stuff, have you heard or have any of the live bootleg stuff with Bruce Dickinson on vocals? I hear he really brings their stuff to life!
Doomsayer2001 : Yea the vocals are a mismatch IMHO, but I think they have grown a lot together over time. They are also known as a big musicians band. When I went to go see them, I got into a pissing contest with another bass player (all in good fun). He was boasting about playing six string bass. I topped him by saying I play six string fret less. Well owned it, I just got it, & thought how the hell you play this thing? I can see how a lot of people can get into them. I thought they kicked live!
They dropped a promo copy of their stuff off at my recording studio back in the day - and have to say, what I love about these guys is that they really built a fan base up on their own, did it their own, with music that they really believe in... never sold out, and yet they are wildly successful. True musical entrepreneurs...
vannatta : Yea that's one thing I respect about these guys.
ROCKNROLLPIMP: Do you got the first one with their original singer?
