And Somebody Said FAIR WARNING...

One of my fave Albums And my Fave Van Halen Album. I heard like Zeppelins "Presence" there was a lot of anger, and anomosity when recording this album. Also Micheal Anthony's best sounding Album.

  1. slantera says There was a lot of anger and animosity during the 'Presence' album? Great album, by the way. Tea for one is awesome. I love that bluesy/rock sound. One of my favorite, obscure albums by Zep, 'Presence'.

  6. mullytron says One break... COMIN' UP... Has anyone else noticed how much quieter "Change," THE SINGLE fercryinoutloud, is than the rest of the album? That will happen when you obsessively do take after take after take, since the oxide sheds off the binder in the tape formulation, but it's just sort of noticeable. You'd think they would have fixed it in mastering. It still sounds great, you just need to boost it up to match...

  7. RGM says Mastering? Fix? Early Halen? Eh. Speaking of have you heard some of the Judas Priest Remaster mess ups? Listen to "Point Of Entry."

  8. RGM says Yea, Slantera if my memory serves me well, it was when they were suppose to do one of the biggest tours of their life, and didn't get to because of all that shit like Page breaking fingers, or Plant almost Dieing in a car crash. John Paul Jones Said He remembers getting a call to record "Presence," and all he had time for was just to grab his Jazz Bass and hop on a plane. Great Fuckin Alum!

  9. atman says "it seems like 40 days and 40 nights since someone used my first name including you....." the lyrics on this album are a shot above their usual. And I love their usual.
