   Lord Helmet says Just watched the movie for the umpteenth time 2 nights ago. Val Kilmer... unbelievable performance. Also read the book and agree w/you. Jimbo is an artist that will intrigue me forever--sometimes I emulate him, sometimes I can't stand the fucker for diving so far into his own indulgences and leaving us so soon. The Doors--easily in my top 5 of all time.

   Takeshi Kovacs says The Doors was one of my earliest influences in life. I was a sophomore in high school and just about all I listened to. I read the book "No One Gets..." and it was very powerful to me then. Now, I don't think I could take it's simplicity. The movie, I vaguely remember, probably super soused or something. Guess, what I'm saying is, The Doors were monumental in my life and development, but I played them out completely.
