I always liked this version better than the original alot more high octane. Pity you turned that gig down. Of course if you had you probably wouldent be mogging.

It was before Fear Factory. We all knew him as that dude Dino lol! It was for his backyard thrash band, I forget the name, but I really wasn't into them. The singer sang & played bass, but wanted to just sing. It's a pretty tough biz to get into, & stay in. I know Jeff Duncan from Armored Saint, he has a day job I hear to make ends meet. I went to HS with him & his brothers, in fact his little Matt gave me my first bass lesson. I still might have be mogging. I met Charlie Haden's son on here. He plays in a band called Spain. Charlie Haden is a big name jazz player, who's known for his uprite bass playing. My glory years were from age 17 to around 23-24. After that it seemed hard to keep a band together, or get off the ground. I was almosted signed to small label when I was 18 but our guitarist/vocalist blew it for us. I was signed in my 30's to pretty much our guitarist/singer homemade indie label (diffrent band). I met some other artist on it I never heard of, & they made their own CD's. I think he provided some exposure for them. I think I made only around $100.00 to 200.00 playing in that band, & he might still owe me a few hundred dollars that's not worth going after. You could probaly make more money playing weddings, or playing cover's. Music is about being creative, & having fun. It would be nice to get free stuff, & get paid for doing it though.

Well youve been more professional than I ever was. I just played in a couple garage bands that never went anywhere or did anything but party. It pains me to think that I'm too old now to realize that dream.

Man do I dig this cover. Haven't heard it in eons. Fear Factory was my driving music to work years ago. I drove a volkswagen rabbit so top speed was like 75,80. But these guys always made feel like 120. Been ages since I allowed the double bass to penetrate my head cavity. Nice! Gonna go break some out.

dans...: Parties are fun, some of my fave gigs I did were parties, bars, & coffee shops. Clubs can be a bare, especially in LA where you have a pay to play system, you have to buy the tixs, & sell them yourself. They can run up to 1K, & if you don't sell them all your out of luck! Plus you have to pay for your own promotion, & put the work into flyering. I have friends who have gotten sign in their 40's. I like what mogger Leftoveking (Jeff) does. He makes his own CD's, & does these small west coast tours for fun.

    psuedo...:Cool!

Cinful: I like the original a lot, but I like F.F. take on it a lot also.

ashle: Uh? What does that have to do with this post?

This rips! (And BTW, the great Charlie Haden is also known for his three talented daughters a.k.a. The Haden Triplets - one of whom is the delightful multi-tracking, a capella singing recording artist Petra Haden.)

FYI: Petra - who was violinist with the L.A. band That Dog, which also featured sister Rachel (not sister Tanya, wife of actor/singer Jack Black) - does the vocals on those Prius commercials, has teamed on a beautiful collection of covers with guitarist Bill Frisell, and actually did an entire, amazing a cappella reproduction of the classic Who album The Who Sell Out that must be heard to be believed.
