I bought his first solo CD, & I liked it for the vocals mainly. The song writing was a little weak IMO, but it really wasn't a bad album IMO. I really wasn't interested his secound one, but I rarely say this. His new one sucks! I mean dude your not Justin Timberlake, or Brittney Spears. I think the dudes really screwed up on drugs IMO.

Now here's some Meshuggah to get that crap out of your head!
Of course the ever growing popularity of disabling the embedding of said Chris Cornell vids (or any of them for that matter) has rendered your post a moot point now. That alone pisses me off without actually having to hear the crappy songs on the videos now. The Meshuggah is fine however. They're obviously not worried about gaining exposure.
I hate when youtube pulls that! Here's his myspace:

Yeah, I saw him on Leno the other night playing one of his new songs, then muted the tv after about ten seconds. I'm not sure why he thought this project was a good idea, or why he thinks the music sounds good.
I keep hoping that one of these days they'll be a Soundgarden reunion. Forecast doesn't look good, though.
ZZTodd: Yea it's pretty bad. A Soundgarden would be great, even an Audio Slave would be cool also. I thought they should have kept going. I saw them live on their last tour, & they were pretty good. Although they did some Rage, & Soundgarden. It made you want though two bands to reunite. I got say, I thought they did Soundgarden better than Soundgarden. I saw Soundgarden on the Badmotorfinger tour, & I wasn't to impressed. They were sloppy, & had a bad mix.
I wish I would have seen Audioslave live. I didn't think their last album Revelations was that hot, but their first two albums were solid. I have the Live In Cuba dvd they did and thought it was pretty good as well. They definitely handled the Rage and Soundgarden covers quite well. Actually I remember they did a cover of "Loud Love" for AOL sessions one time that was absolutely sick. Like you said I thought it was better than when Soundgarden did it.
I did get to see Rage live, though, and that's still number 1 on the list of live shows that I've been to. Definitely not a bad move on their part to get back together (I've been praying for a new album!). Perhaps if Soundgarden reunited they could tour together. What a show that would be!

FNM said they would never reunite but it happened! That would be a killer show!
Ray -> killer line of comments you got going here -> I never liked Cornell solo, but I'm guessing from the comments about the videos I didn't get to see that he was nut-suckin bad ->
It was nice to see Rage come together again despite all the nay-sayers -> but ZZ and you are right, now it's soundgarden's turn to stomp the negative nay-sayers ->
oh...and sweet SHUGGAH -> thanks
