Don't get me wrong,I love the Beatles. But just when I thought "the Beatles" had discovered every method imaginable to separate me from my cash.Along comes the CD "LOVE".Depending on whom you ask,"LOVE" is; a.) A brilliant reworking of Beatles classics.b.) A nifty soundtrack to Cirque du Soleil's Vegas act.c.) A slick attempt to appeal to a new generation of fans.d.) Blasphemy(BTW,a glance at Billboard's top 200 has "LOVE" currently charting at #13 this week. Not bad for a band that ceased to exist 36 years ago.)After 30+ years of being a fan,my Beatle investment is probably in the thousands. So much to my relief,sandwiched in-between "My Chemical Romance" and "Fall Out Boy" on my daughter's Xmas CD list was "The Beatles-LOVE". Thanks for rationalizing that purchase for me kiddo.Ka-Ching!
