WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

The "B" Team

Posted about 1 year ago
My friends and I were playing a game by naming long forgotten bands that were given the "grunge" moniker or that released records in the early 90's. Most of the bands we named were forgotten for a reason until one of us mentioned Love Battery. I always felt that this band got the short end of the stick and should have been a lot bigger. They had a real psychedelic sound that not a lot of people were doing at the time. Anyhow, here is one of their videos from Straight Freak Ticket which is not their best album (that would be Day Glo) but Fuzz Factory is a great track.

  2. jenny says This is fun...you're right way more paisley than grunge. Were they pretty big? I seem to have totally missed them.

  3. Pushbin says They were on the cusp of being big. They had a few full length releases on Sub Pop and then got signed to a major. Things got weird for the band after that and the album that they recorded for Polygram never happened due to legal issues. A rough mix of it was released on Sub Pop instead.
