He sold his soul for rock and roll and this is what he has to show for it. Hope he kept the receipt.

  1. contrabandwidth says they could really use a tripod...and a shave. This is really innovative film making! Note that they might have possibly used 1 whole take for this video! No need to spend money making something watchable! Wardrobe: Turtle neck, check. Leather Jacket, check. Tuxedo off a dead guy, check. Don't worry, this track is free of any and all soul. Hope he kept the receipt!

  2. goodmusiconly says good lord! well he's right about one thing ... he's going to need a heavy dose of help from the dark side. His angelic bleached hair wasn't doing him any favors...

  4. River Lethe says Contra, maybe they wanted us to be able to see the cameraman's shadow! This has to be what gave SNL writers the idea for that Garth Brooks/Wil Ferrell sketch. I can't believe I watched the whole video.

  6. Dale says Wow wow wow, that really stunk. It's like a time capsule from 1982, with the faux-heavy music, the single-shot cinematography, and the long hallway shot. Yeah, I only got 20 seconds in; why, does it get better?

  9. fistula spume says Dude!!! I say make it start!! "Soul" was THE JAM in '97. I totally forgot about "Phil Thomas Katt":http://www.philthomaskatt.com/. He totally got the shaft when Spin magazine put out their best of the 90's list. I know it was long distance but I called his KATTLINE in Pensacola all the time. I was so sad when he was fired for being too rock-n-roll. He's a legend of our times. Keep on truckin soul brother. I love Phil Thomas Katt.

  11. dermahrk says His body would fit quite nicely in that hole in the wall behind him. Followed by many, many bricks. Too bad. With the money he spent on that video he could've had a nice lunch.
