On December 6th my friend Jason sent me a link to a video. I finally got around to checking it on December 14th. Last night my shipment from Amazon containing The Bird And The Bee's catalogue arrived. This is not an uncommon occurrence. I'm rather excitable and enthused when something catches my fancy. I research it extensively, immerse myself in it, digest the details.I love to understand things thoroughly. The Bird And The Bee are Greg Kurstin and Inara George. They are amazingly talented. Combined with their technical prowess, this talent spans across all three discs without waning. From their Wikipedia entry:According to their MySpace page, "Greg and Inara met a few years ago. Discovered a common love of jazz standards... nerded out for a couple of hours playing every song they knew... and then wrote and recorded a record together."I haven't been this excited about a Pop group in ages.

  5. Mike the Knife says Been gushing about them for months. No album released in the past couple of years has given me more unbridled joy than their debut, which I reviewed here in March. Glad to be alerted about new material, P.C. Don't know how I missed the EP in October, but you just made my holiday season happier.
