Believe it or not, Teddy Pendergrass was a part of my entire marriage and a part of my dating experience! We used his song, 'This Time Is Our' for our First Dance at our wedding and I've lived this ideology throughout my marriage. Enjoying the idea that 'until death do we part' means that I only have until 'death' which we know not the hour, to enjoy our marriage and experiences together, I savor each experience - not knowing when it will end. Surprisingly, "This Time Is Ours" has now made it to 24+ years! Thanks for writing this song. I am a musician too, but a Church musician. I am an organist and I teach piano. My main work area though is educational research, and guess what? I use this ideology in my research too! I hope Teddy understands how much I appreciate the 'meaning' behind this song.
