Baal HaSulam, A Loving Father

Posted 10 months ago

Reviewers and fans alike always mention how the song Baal HaSulam stood out for them due to its haunting, stirring sound. The song was inspired by the notion of having a loving father (Baal HaSulam) directing you to a place of sheer light and perfect harmony, as well as by his writings, life story and musical compositions. The composition came into my mind as I was driving home from a rehearsal with PGS, and I committed it to paper upon my arrival so that it would not be forgotten. Incidentally, this is the only song on the album that our producer Frank Filipetti refused to let us touch after we recorded its initial take.
He called it a "classic."
I guess only time will tell.

I did not have this one digitally to offer here on MOG, but you can hear it here:

Would love to hear your thoughts!
