This track is from one of my favorite films of the 1980s: Brian DePalma's conspiracy thriller Blow Out starring John Travolta and Nancy Allen. One of my other favorite directors Quentin Tarantino recently used this track in his latest film Death Proof as a little tribute to DePalma and that film. The way he used it in the film was really nice. I don't know if theres another director out there with such great musical tastes and a flair for how to use music so well. This song is not a very long piece but every time I listen to it now I think of both films.

Like you, I was a fan of "Blow Out" and was pleasantly surprised when I heard "Sally and Jack" while watching "Grindhouse" a few months back. I picked up the soundtrack for "Death Proof" and wasn't expecting the composition to be on the soundtrack. That was a bonus!
