MUSIC CHATTER AND MATTER

The Originator

Posted over 2 years ago
I just was reading emscee's post about Bo Diddley's heart attack and I thought I'd dedicate this one to him. He's one of the greats that hasn't gotten a post on my mog yet. Heres to Bo! Hope he gets well soon!

  1. Bartleby says Bo is the man indeed. I would like to thank Quentin Tarantino for re-introducing him to younger generations. No good deed should be overlooked. :p

  3. PopeyePete says Bart: QT reintroduced him? Thats funny cuz none of his films have Bo Diddley music in them.

  4. PopeyePete says Bart, maybe you meant Chuck Berry, there was a song by him in Pulp Fiction. QT hasnt used any Bo in his films...yet.

  7. deadmandeadman says Bo walks with the swagger of a survivor. Larger than life and full of piss n vinegar, Bo is arguably closer to his African roots than any of the first wave of rockers. To see him live, losing himself in the wild syncopated rhythms he and his band would weave, was to be transported in time to a timeless place of voodoo mysteries of bones and dust. Because to Bo, rhythm is king. Here he 'throws down' with Ronnie Wood (who needs no introduction).
