So I'm reading in Newsweek that there is a new dating service called rocknrolldating.com and figured that it might be amusing to check it out. Find a woman that shares my love of crowded festivals, ticket surcharges,The RIAA, Emo, and The Dave Mathews Band. We could meet at a club and attempt to dance will attempting to lift out feet off the sticky club. We could share out mutual experiences of being stuck in a parking lot for two hours trying to exit the concert site onto the highway. And pour watered down beers into our own plastic cups on summer evenings...Upon further review, their were 88 Females nationally...I think the old fashioned way of just asking her to dance should work fine.

Zeroskilz says 88 total or 88 that fit your bill? :) I think I'll be skipping this service too. Matching on musical tastes might just complicate an already complicated process.

Pop Savant says 88 Women Between 25 and 40...a wide range...I didn't need to narrow the search.

Lizziegreeneyes says It's funny - the whole music junkie aspect of my personality is the one I most want to share with a significant other. Can't imagine seriously dating another mehh about music man. Best relationship by far was with a gent who was totally obsessed with tuneage - moreso than me even... hard to believe but totally true ;) But I've always found dating sites to be crap for finding a good match.

dhouse says I just checked the site out, and found 168 women nationwide (a lot more than the 88 mentioned above)...which suggests two things to me: A) that the site is BRAND NEW and B) that it is growing pretty quickly. I liked what I saw - totally cool look and feel, and it *seems* like they actually know a thing or two about music...I don't know, but I think this is a site worth keeping an eye on...and it's definitely leaps and bounds over those generic middle of the road dating sites out there (not that I'd know ; )) Remember that sites like MOG and MySpace were once teeny tiny too (try that 3x fast), and look at them now. Everybody has to start small before they grow, and besides don't you think that musical tastes should play a key roll in who you like to spend time with? I do.

dhouse says Ok, so check it...it's been just over a month since I last wrote the above blurb onRocknRollDating.com, and sure enough there are now almost 500 women nationwide (and over 700 guys - a little sausage heavy, but whaddaya expect on a dating site?). Clearly things are beginning to heat up...also, it's a seriously cool looking website...
