   Pop Savant says Throw in the day parties and these band will probably be playing 2-3 gigs in Austin that week. I register so I can get the badge and walk right in...it's like a backstage pass...

   Pop Savant says It's hard to tell. Many artists fly in and fly out for the fest...others use it as a springboard for breaking themselves in the U.S. For instance, Amy Winehouse and Lily Allen both came last year in the middle of a big publicity push. Girl Talk performed as a one off and not a tour. The Good The Bad and the Queen performed as one of only 6 or 7 shows in total.
