The dEUS train has run me over.

Posted almost 6 years ago
So, apparently, I've been living under a rock (called the American music channels) for quite a number of years now, and I have managed to miss this fabulous band.A friend recently commanded me to pick up "Pocket Revolution". I did so this afternoon and have had it on repeat. Great stuff. Such a wide variety of musical stylings, it's one of the few albums I've picked up recently which kept me hooked all the way through. (And I count that as a supreme accomplishment in the age of iPod.) Current favorite songs are the title track, "What We Talk About (When We Talk About Love)" -- great groove, and "Nightshopping". So dEUS fans, I have a mission for you... recommend to me the next dEUS offering I should pick up to get myself deeper into this wonderful world.

  1. Pip says Hi PTT, dEUS are a fine band indeed. I have seen them three times and have all their stuff. They battle for the honour of my favourite band of all time with Joy Division, New Order, Tindersticks and South. My advice would be to go for the album 'Worst Case Scenario' next. The classic track on that album is Hotel Lounge, the song that got me on to them so many years ago.

  4. Ohad says By the way (and i know that i am a year late...) i also think that W.C.S should be the first album to hear. After that i recomend The Ideal Crash, which is mostly quiet and melodic, a beautiful album. After all that it's time to listen to the madness which is "In A Bar, Under The Sea" which is my personal favorite. It's a very diverse album and it takes time to get used to it. Pocket Revolution was a bit opf a dissapointment for me, didn't like most of it...
