Cádiz in his veins... and his music

Posted about 6 years ago
For those who don't know him, Ruibal is one of most interesting musicians in the Spanish scene... for years now. Good taste, a mix of cultures ranging from flamenco, arabic scents, jazz colours, to latin music. He combines good poetry for his lyrics, and, above all, intense emotions on every note. Go see him live if you have the chance to get a sip of all his energy...For those who like guitars: don't miss his accompanying guitarists, Tito Alcedo, and formerly Antonio Toledo. Real guitar playing moguls!

  2. Pisha says Well… I suppose it can be difficult to get his records abroad: Hopefully the guys form World Music edited a compilation called “Sahara” about a couple of years ago. I personally prefer “Contrabando” (PDI, 1997), although his last two records (‘Las Damas Primero’ and ‘Lo que me dice tu boca’ (2006)- see www.18chulos.com) are not behind.
