This song just rocks. That is all. "Wish I had a loverwho could turn this water into wine..."This is a fierce one for all the girls, especially the single girls. Go out with your posse and dance your pants off to this one.
We all know the peppy little tune, "I Say A Little Prayer For You" by Dionne Warwick (where she goes totally flat in some of the harmonies with her back-up girls, causing me to cringe every time I hear it), but have you heard the version by Aretha? It's smokier, more soulful, more yearning, and brings the song to a whole new level. In Dionne's version, you imagine a little 20-something working ...

THE SUPREMES singing all those great Rodgers & Hart classics like "Where Or When" and "There's A Small Hotel" and "The Lady Is a Tramp."It's kind of a wonderful train wreck. I won't buy any of the tracks but it was great giggly fun listening to the samples. What were they THINKING?
Miss Etta James needs to be in more jazz dj's rotation this time of year, that's all I have to say. I don't think she makes it on "O Holy Night" but this track certainly adds some sexy to your eggnog.
Even though I'm a minister I find that I am absolutely not in the Christmas spirit this year. This CD might help get me there, though. That and my ancient recording of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's album "White Christmas" -- which is out-of-print but which a congregant found on vinyl for me about three years ago on e-Bay and from which I made a cassette tape. The rendition of "The Little Drummer
