I've been editing my doctoral dissertation and have found Yo Yo Ma recordings to be great music to concentrate by. I have loved his Brazilian album for a year or so but just borrowed this recording of Appalachian waltzes and jigs from a friend and like it a lot too (not as much, but it's good).

I think it would be nice holiday party music if you didn't want to play actual holiday music.
