I heard this song on the radio a few months ago and instantly fell in love with it. I was never able to find the version by the artist who was on the radio, but I found these two kooky versions, one by the Juggernaut Jug Band from "Don't Try This At Home" and the other, a more wild klezmeresque version by Hazmat Modine, from their album "Bahamut."
I recommend them both for just great music with a real hep cat edge.
