Hey Mog Folks!Well it is Friday here in Australia, while most of you are fighting your way through the remainder of Thursday...and we got drinking on our minds.So the drinking song in this virgin series of weekly posts on drinking songs, is a classic, from the pen of Stick Mcgee, written during the tail end of the 40's.Spodee was a mix of alcohol and fruit that was a treat in the Pacific Northwest.The great Johnny Burnette covers it here.....Mcgee supposedly used Spoo-Dee-O-Dee so the song would get airplay..:-) as the original lyric was "Motherfuc&er".Pass That Bottle To Me....PeacePaul
