About Paul Stuckle

Posted over 3 years ago

Paul Stuckle has been a criminal defense attorney in Texas for over 20 years, and his total experience in law enforcement has spanned several decades. This experience has allowed him to view the legal process of the United States from several different perspectives. Stuckle began his professional career with a degree in law enforcement from St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas, and later went on to become a police officer with the Patrol Division of the Dallas Police Department.

With the Dallas Police Department, Paul Stuckle responded to calls involving domestic disturbances, assaults, and shootings. With firsthand knowledge of crime scenes of a violent and domestic nature, Paul Stuckle soon became aware of a potential injustice in the domestic crime investigation arena: while law enforcement testimony is crucial in litigation involving domestic violence allegations, police officers tended to make arrests based on only one side of the situation: hardly a well-formed basis upon which to assign criminal charges.

Paul Stuckle's experience as a police officer gave him perspective on how to effectively serve as a police legal advisor. Paul worked as an attorney for the Ft. Worth Police Department; he held responsibilities in legal training for the Ft. Worth Police Department. Paul Stuckle is the author of a textbook on arrest, search, and seizure laws due to his specialized, technical knowledge of the subject. In addition to his experience educating police officers on the legal doctrine of their area, Paul Stuckle has also assisted the legal community by serving as an instructor for the Southeastern Paralegal Institute, administering classes on criminal law and evidence.

Today, Paul Stuckle is one-half of Stuckle and Ferguson, a Plano, Texas-based law firm dedicated to protecting victims of false allegation and defending innocent individuals from invasive and unjust Child Protective Services investigations.
