Get Cape is the stage name of up-and-coming young half-burmese acoustic rocker Sam Duckworth. Originally of hardcore punk band Silverskin, Sam had many musical and lyrical talents which he put to good use in his later solo career after departing the group. He is renowned for his energetic live performances (of which i have recently had the pleasure of attending) and also his thought prevoking politically-tinged lyrics. Sam's sucess began during early-2006 when he sighned a contract to major record label Atlantic Records after impressive releases on the independant label BSM. Soon followed the release of singles `I-Spy` and `Call Me Ishmael`, which aired on BBC radio 1. At the beggining of this week Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly released their first full-length studio album 'The Chronicles Of A Bohemian Teenager` following last weeks release of new single, ` The Chronicles Of A Bohemian Teenager (part one)`. Most of all Sam Duckworth's music, although all songs are acoustic, are some of the most powerful and moving i have ever experienced. Check him out!!
