Two nights ago I had the privilege of going to the Roundhouse venue in northern London to see the Foo Fighters headline the 11th night of the iTunes music festival. They played an amazing set which consisted of a Probot cover and various radio hits like "Best of You", "Times Like These" and "The Pretender" as well as guest appearances from Lemmy Kilmister of Motörhead for one cover, and the members of Queen for another cover of "Tie Your Mother Down". I haven't been able to see these guys in the 16 years that they've been together and this show definitely made me regret not being more on top of their releases lately. Their recent album release definitely gave their whole performace a new flare that brought about an excitement in them that may have also been fuelled by the intimacy of the venue. Grohl also played a great solo-off with the lead guitarist from the back bar midway through the set which is displayed in the picture above.
