Von Bondies Update: New Members and Release Date

It's been three years since the Von Bondies released 2004's Pawn Shoppe Heart. "In my own head, I was like, 'I don't want to ever do it again,'" frontman Jason Stollsteimer recently told Billboard.com. "But these three years have revived my energy to do it again." The Von Bondies will return with their second major label album Love, Hate and Then There's You in early 2008. Teh band got help from producers Rick Parker (Black Rebel Motorcycle Club) and Peter Katis (Interpol) for the effort.New members have signed on to play with the Detroit garage rock band following the departures of guitarist Marcie Bolen, bassist Carrie Smith and her later replacement Yasmine Smith. The new Von Bondies line-up includes original drummer Don Blum and Detroit musicians Alicia Gbur, Leann Banks and Matt Lannoo.
