Reunions are essential for the global Live Earth concerts being organized by Al Gore to save the planet from melting. The newly-reunited Genesis will play the London Live Earth concert, while the newly-reunited Smashing Pumpkins will play Live Earth New York/Jersey. So its only fair that Live Earth Tokyo gets its own reunited headliners. And they will when Japanese electro-pop trio Yellow Magic Orchestra play the July 7th event in Kyoto. Also on the bill are Rihanna, Linkin Park, Al Otsuka and other Japanese artists you probably have never heard of.Yellow Magic Orchestra have reunited sporadically in the past after parting ways in 1984. They released one more record in 1993, Technodon and only last year appeared in this commercial for Kirin Beer, playing a remake of their classic tune "Rydeen," dubbed "Rydeen 79/07."Yellow Magic Orchestra, "Taiso"Source: Pitchforkmedia.com, http://liveearth.msn.com/concerts/japan
