So us North Americans don't get too jealous of Prince's 21-date London residency at the city's O2 Arena this August and September, the Purple One has just announced a seven night Los Angeles residency beginning this Saturday, June 23rd! The shows will take place at the posh Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel's 200-capacity Blossom Room and are scheduled for June 23rd-24th, 28th-30th.Prince will most likely be previewing songs from his new album Planet Earth, due July 24th, while his personal chef prepares dinner for VIP guests. Prince will play two sets during the course of the evening - the first a 2 hour Prince concert and the second a late night jazz set featuring Prince and an undisclosed jazz band. Guest performers have yet to be announced.But tickets for the intimate gigs aren't cheap! They will dent your pockets $3,121 per couple for VIP packages, and $312.10 for standing-room only tickets.
