The Strokes Set To Relaunch Web Site, Debut New Video

In four days the Strokes will finally relaunch their Web Site, www.thestrokes.com. To mark the relaunch an alternative video for “You Only Live Once,” directed by Warren Fu will be premiering.Today the band made an announcement via MySpace saying they will be taking a break from touring and the studio.The bulletin, according to NME.com read: "The band are still enjoying some much needed 'off time'. I wouldn't expect anything to come out this year. In the meantime, they are staying busy pursuing some other personal interests and are busy working/writing/rehearsing and all those things bands do in between albums. But, there are no immediate plans to release an album or tour for the time being."But Strokes members will still be popping up here and there in the coming months. Guitarist Al Hammond Jr. released his self-titled solo debut this year and will be playing festivals this summer. Frontman Julian Casablancas recently lent his chops on the new Queens of the Stone age album, Era Vulgaris, due June 12th. Old "You Only Live Once:"The new one? We shall see Monday...
