Lenny Kravitz's "Love Revolution" Due In Early 2008

Posted over 4 years ago
It's been eighteen years since Lenny Kravitz released his debut album Let Love Rule, an album lauded for its Beatles meets Hendrix qualities. Kravitz is now sonically and spiritually going back to these very roots for his new album, It Is Time For A Love Revolution, due for release February 5th, 2008.Love Revolution has 14 new songs, including “Bring It On,” “I’ll Be Waiting,” “Love, Love, Love,” “Dancin’ Til Dawn,” and “I Want To Go Home," and credits Kravitz with writing, producing, arranging and playing many instruments on all the tracks. For the most part, the album will have its fair share of staple Kravitz love-inspired tracks, but also some anti-war attacks. It is also Kravitz's first album in three years, since 2004's Baptism, which marked the milestone of his 40th birthday.

"I felt like a kid playing in my bedroom," Kravitz says of making It Is Time For A Love Revolution, "and that's the most important thing you can tap into, that feeling of being free."

  1. ATurbillion says This past Thursday night, forty people - mostly from Virgin Records and EMI Recorded Music, were invited to Lenny's home to listen to his upcoming album It Is Time For A Love Revolution. At his home, penthouse on Crosby Street, everyone had to remove their shoes before walking on his brown rug laid throughout the apartment. He also has a painting of his mother in one room - who was Roxy from Good Times (the TV show during my time). Attending were top music industry executives Jason Flom President Virgin Capitol, Roger Ames CEO EMI, Jeff Kempler COO Virgin, Edna Abad VP Artist Relations, Lee Trink, and Steve Smith. The album will be released February of next year - 2008. The entire album was produced in Brazil and he loved the feel of the record. Best sone is "Bring it On." Sounds like he got back to his original vibe in the albuum. The most awesome part of the evening was not even the album, but running into his beautiful stunning daughter, who came in and said "Dad, I didn't know you were having people over". When she left, she was wearing a pink skirt that was soo short, that Lenny turned into "dad-mode" and said "Isn't it a little too short to be going out in that skirt?" It was fantastic seeing Lenny's totally human side and realizing he is just like every other caring dad out there. Best Anabelle Turbillion
