Divorce, moving, etc., have curtailed my MOG endeavors for quite sometime. Not my thirst for music, though. Britt, the QOTSA album is in steady rotation. The semi low-fi production on some of the songs reminds me of the Eagles of Death Metal stuff (which I love), but after several spins I'm in the Queens groove.

sigh I _suppose_ such events are adequate reasons for MOG absence. Here's to the hope you can stick around and play for a spell.
Ah, I'm also enjoying _Era_'s production; now that you mention it, some of the rawer guitar parts do have an EoDM element . So, I've had _Icky Thump_ for over a week and only unwrapped it today...judging by the looks of your page, I may want to get around to giving a play, yeah?

I can't believe you have waited so long!!! It is by far their best to date. Be careful, once you put it in it won't be coming out for a while! Queens and Stripes are all I have been listening to for the past two weeks. Got the Velvet Revolver, Amy Winehouse, Cold War Kids, and new Beastie Boys today. Yes, i am a sucker for the 90's rock stuff. i enjoy the slick Berndan O'Brien production on the Velvet album. That is the one thing I did not like about their first album. I couldn't crank it without feeling like it would blow my speakers. Brendan knows how to mix it just right. Plus, he's a hometown boy (Atlanta). To this point, I really enjoy the Beasties album, though I wish it had lyrics. Reminds me of my early 90's days listening to "Check Your Head" over and over and over...Put that White Stripes cd in and GO......!!!!
