I haven't posted in a while. Have been busy with work and all that junk. In the while that I was away, one of the bands I work with, illScarlett, celebrated their debut full-length album going Gold! Check out PeteNema.com to see pics from the party! What a blast! Thanks for being there and capturing the drunkeness Pete! Pay no attention if there are pictures of me posted on there.
I figure as an obligation to the album's greatness I should post my favourite album of 2008. Now this came as a surprise to me. The band who's album is deemed my favourite and most listened to of 2008 is one that I have never really thought too much of. I have always enjoyed their imaging in their music videos (that eerie sense) but I brushed it all aside.
My favourite album of 2008 is.. (drum roll please).....
Panic at the Disco! - Pretty. Odd

Seriously. Thank-you for taking your music to the next level, Panic at the Disco. You really exceeded all expectations I had of you. From start to finish, this album will keep you entertained with it's rollercoaster sound. You can tell that a lot of work was put into this. I don't know much about the makeup of the band, but the harmonies and additional vocals from the band's guitarist is a wonderful addition to the lead singers usual singing.
The Green Gentlemen was my favourite song off the album for a long time, but then I was sitting on a bus home from Toronto one day after having a very eventful week and was listening to the song "Northern Downpour" and watching the grey skies above and rain slide down the window of the bus and my favourite song changed to that one.
Here's the vid for it! This is also a good example of the guitarist singing. It's a nice blend.
