This time, the Nowcastle's boys completely evolve from their first material. Now they seem to be less focused on the "catchy" tunes and more on the song mood. Every song came up with a different feeling and emotion.
Something distinctive of this album is the "books" thematic of the songs. You can see that in the lyrics of "Our Velocity", "Books from Boxes" and "Russian Literature"... so if you are a book-lover, this is another hook for you.
It's a bit less energetic that "A Certain Trigger", but it's further more visceral and self-exploratory one. It is heavier and complex, but it achieve something that not every band cand... turn simple in a complex manner.
