I heard this track tonight on WWOZ and it lit up my evening. Everything about this is fantastic, the funk, the slightly odd vocal and most of all the fact that I had never heard it before! If anyone wants to vouch for Jack McDuff and tell me where to find more of this, please chime in.

To use a Mike the Knife adjective, "Oblighetto" and "The Prophet" are slammin'! Here's a McDuff track I put into some comment long ago, "The Breeze and I" from 1963, with Kenny Burrell, Ray Barretto and others.
