So I am trying to step back from my recent infatuation with early 90's post rave and late 2000's repurposed disco and post about some good old good music. So I just discovered John Fahey - WOW. Fantastic stuff.
It is just perfect for the first cool day in Southern Louisiana since February. Love it, and the fact that I get to ride a bike wearing a sweatshirt. Have a good one all.

Absolutely can't go wrong with Fahey. His tunes have so much feeling, sometimes I get the sense of this other language when listening to him, it somehow transcends the actual notes/physical sound of the guitar while simultaneously living within them.
I guess that is an aspect of musical genius.
oh and I forgot to thankyou for the tune!
Hey Nick, thanks. I hope you and yours are well.
noice. a perfect listen for this moment in time.
You might want to check out Peter Walker, Robbie Basho and Loren Mazzacane Connor, all different but very strong guitar pickers. I saw Fahey and Basho perform around Berkeley many times, back in the day.
Thanks for the recommends Bob. I will write those down.
Hey that's nice pickin', thanks.
This takes me back. In the mid-60s at high school you couldn't meet any of the cool literate girls without them having John Fahey and Sandy Bull in their collections.
Leo Kotke is another one for you, though he's more early 70s on the timeline.
First sweater? That would have been in September here in London. Probably took it off sometime in June. :-)
Cool literate girls are hot in sweaters.
