Awesome, thanks for posting that! I had heard about it, but never got to see it. Like so many things on YouTube, I forget to look for it when I'm there.
R.I.P. DFA1979! One of my favorite newer bands, and already dead and buried.
I had tickets to see them open for QOTSA and NIN (acronyms, yay!) last year, but had to sell my tickets at the last minute. GRRR!!!! I did get introduced to Saul Williams' music at a later NIN show though, so there's the silver lining.

Man, that bass playing is always amazing!
I love the fact that Max is still an amazing drummer, even with a coat hanging from his arm...he hits every beat perfect to the cd. Amazing....

Nice River! I saw em on that NIN tour, good shit! Saul williams too! Have not seen em! Missed him in South Florida by a day , fuck!
Violet grey.....I cant convince you , but this album is in my top 10 and that says a boatload. I dunno , the simple nature and pure animal guts thats in these songs . its also interesting to think that these guys really didnt get along during the recording and tour. so good , its just one of those albums that fits perfect. every song is a 10.

Remix album is great too! The Justice remix of "Blood On Our Hands" is my fav. Have you checked out the MSTRKRFT stuff? Great....though I saw them live and they didn't perform anything, they just DJ'd the whole time.

The album is called Romance Bloody Romance. 13 tracks (11 remixes, 1 cover of Better Off Dead by La Peste, and a never before released track). Four versions of Black History Month, Four Romantic Rights. It's great....

Yeah the remix album actually has some good stuff on it. Check out some of those import ep's on Amazon too. There's a few songs not on the album.

Although I totally dig this band, I absolutely hate the video for Black History month. Why the fuck are they on pianos? They don't play pianos in any of their songs AND, even if they had songs that sounded like they could have been played with piano, this one would be the furthest away. I am angry now. I am going to break my computer.

Le sigh. My computer decided that I couldn't watch this video. Death from Above 1979 has been on my to check out list forever now it seems.

That was pretty friggin rad, even though my computer wouldn't let me watch the whole thing. File that bass player with Nick Oliveri, such amazing musicians...
