So we all know that time capsules are gay, right?Ha Ha... well anyways I was thinking about what I said in a earlier post about music being permanent. About how I want my grandchildren to find my music collection and find music that I had growing up. Music that helped me out in the best of times and worst. Hopefully they will find it. I will make it rather obvious for them. But I was thinking that it would wicked cool to make a mix for this specific occurence. To make a mix for the wee ones who will be my legacy. Either that or write them a letter and put it in my will. More like a book. Or a manual on how to find out more about me through the music I listen to. Something I regret about myself is not trying to get to know my grandparents. It hurts because they arent here anymore and they were interesting people. Both of my grandfathers built a car from scratch (not together but from scratch?).Last night I was writning a post about my musical evolution in my life. It was quite revealing and provacative (in the whole I can't belive im telling them that I was a die hard fan of the music I was writing about). Needless to say I have horrible luck with posting large posts. Like the last one it was deleted when my computer simply just restarted for no reason. I was rightfully pissed and how. It was a post about 15 pages long in word. (it was saved but the file was corrupted ffrom the restart) I think I will start writing a manual an how I had come to be through the music i have. This is going to be super cool. (I smell a pulitzer prize) But think of it, I would be the coolest freaking grandpa it would not even be funny (yeah it would I'm a laugh riot). That would be the ultimate. Secretly compose this memoir throughout the years and collect things for it like get a 1gb MP3 player every year and load it with all the importent songs and or albums from that year. get that and everything that someone would need 60 years from now to use it. (ie. charger, headphones, manual) Or maybe one giant external hard drive. Keep upgrading it over time. Honestaly I feel that it would be an impotent item in my family's history. If there is one thing I want to be remembered for is the music. So this would be the ultimate impression I could make. My little stamp mark on the world. Something showing the life and times Jonathan Meindl. (yes that is my real name, no I will not stop using parenthesis)Have fun Mog I am off to get ready for work. Hope this finds you well.
