Ah, here's another great one from GrooveLily. This track is also from Striking 12, and it's one of my favorites. I must confess that I love musicals... well, some musicals. My two top favorites are probably The Music Man and 1776. And this song really brings those all to mind (they had a playwright help them write the lyrics to get the "sound" of a musical). Striking 12 really is a musical, but it's also just, well, kind of hard to describe. Pick up the album and you'll see what I mean.Anyway, the story behind this one is that the drummer, Gene (who onstage pretends to be a bit of an egotist) is fed up with only having one part (the Grandma, of all things) to play in the musical, and he demands to know why they didn't do a musical of The Little Drummer Boy like he suggested. Then he goes into this musical tirade/rant.
