Back in the Dirty...if only for a day

Posted almost 4 years ago

hey mogger dudes!

sorry i havent written to ya in a while. we just wrapped a tour with chris isaak out on the west coast. a tour of wineries. my liver is screaming for help. it was a really fun tour though and we got to do a couple of our own shows in seattle, portland and canada. the weather is just gorgeous out there. sometimes i wonder what i'm doing on the other coast. anyways, chris gave me this really cool parting gift. its this little plastic truck with a stylus on the bottom. its battery powered and when you flip on the anteana and put it on a record it drives around the record and plays it. sooo cool!! have you guys seen these things?

i'm home in jersey now for one day and then leave at 4am for lollapalooza in chicago. why we didnt just go straight to chicago is beyond me. this is an evil home teaser. i'm excited to play lolla but man, i can't wait to get home after that and go grocery shopping. its the little things you know man?

after lolla we'll play all points west (radioheadddd!) and atlantic city (gambling!!!) and baltimore (crab!) and then a brief jaunt back west for outside lands and a largo show. in between there im trying to figure out a camping trip. i need some camping in my life. s'mores, cold lakes, fire! anyways, take it easy peoples and i hope your summer is going sweeeeeeeeeeeet!

...summer is way too short - but so far, very sweet... best of luck with the road, it can be brutal and make those "little things" seem very big.

    Cheers,

I hear you!  I just got back from flying back and forth from state to state the past couple of weeks where I was having a great deal of fun while working but I still had a desire to just camp out and chill with some s'mores back home on Maui.

Life really is all about the little things isn't it?

Oh that Chris. The world's most cynical romantic crooner, but a helluva guy nonetheless - as is his drummer Kenny. The truck sounds like a very cool tchotchke to have around the den. Still hoping to catch your next show here in S.F. or in El Lay. I'll be scouring the listings. Meanwhile, dig!

    Hey Nicole,

You and The Sea were GREAT in both Canada and Portland... top notch!! (btw so was that Isaak dude who had to follow YOU, lol).

Hope to hear ya at Largo.  Yup, weather is a great reason for NJ Girls...even those of us from the (201) in "the North"... to move out West.

Keep the great tunes coming! -R
